Driving a motorcycle with a car license?
Riding a motorcycle without a test?
Since 20.12.2019, the legislator has allowed car drivers with a class B driving license to ride motorcycles up to 125 cubic centimetres (125cc) and a maximum of 11 kilowatts (KW), corresponding to 15 hp engine power.
For all those who have always wanted to ride a motorcycle but have not yet done so because of the test, we now offer the opportunity to take a rider training course for class A1 motorcycles (125cc).
Obtaining the B196 is much easier and cheaper than the "big" class A motorcycle license.
Requirements for the B196 extension:
Anyone who obtained a car driver's license before 1.4.1980 was already allowed to ride two-wheelers in the 125cc class anyway.
The following applies to others:
Minimum age 25 years old.
At least 5 years in possession of a class B driving license.
The course consists of:
At least 4 theory lessons of 90 minutes each.
At least 5x practice sessions of 90 minutes each.
No theoretical or practical test!!!
